Transit Strike: A thought here...

I am affected by the strike I have walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. As I walked yesterday I wondered if the Taylor Law is unconstitutional. Is that law forcing people? Preventing people not to strike…Is that a kin to legalized slavery? We need these people to do their jobs, but didn’t plantation owners say the same thing about their slaves. Is this law “modern slavery”?

Both my parents were teachers and when I heard about the contract negotiations it made me think that people are being forced to accept less while high level officials make outrageous salaries and get their raises. But there is one thing true in this world is that you need money to eat, to live, and to have fun. Every year prices go up.

Why hasn’t the media interviewed a TWU family? All I see and hear on the news is how inconvenienced people are. I want to see personal stories about TWU families. The teachers and the TW are an important part of our lives which we don’t reward well at all.
